Implementation of a positive agri-food supply scheme

Issues involved

A leading food retailer wished to set up a “healthy” range of agri-food products for consumers.  This positioning was adapted over a dozen fresh fruit and vegetable subsidiaries for which the retailer had agreed to reduce the impact of pesticides for consumers.

Solution provided

Working with the client’s teams, GreenFlex translated the marketing objectives into assessable result-oriented objectives in order to select and help suppliers for these subsidiaries to satisfy the new specifications:

  • By subsidiary: identification of the best available and alternative practices
  • Analysis and comparison of supplier offers
  • Determination of requirements for the specifications with a view to reaching objectives
  • Support in structuring partnerships for the new offer (supplier selection, definition of progress plan, etc.)

Creation of value

  • Structuring and launch of a pesticide-free, own-brand of fruits and vegetables along with a progress plan for the environment
