Plan the energy strategy

We define the energy strategy that's best suited to the issues and structures of companies considering the economic climate and structural context.

Energy as a form of energy creation is not improvised but organised

The energy sector evolves fast, and it could be a source of risks and opportunities for companies. The actions to take and the governance to implement to improve their energy performance must be well thought out: what purchasing strategy for what form of energy independence? What consolidation and analysis of associated data? What kind of energy management? What are the possible forms of financing? What features should be centralised or de-centralised? What services should be internalised or externalised, and if so what business model should be used? These questions should be integrated into the vision of the different associated issues: purchasing fossil fuels and electricity, renewable energy, managing overall energy cost, energy efficiency, demand-response management, self-consumption, storage and retrieval, securing energy supplies, etc.

For a project to succeed, key areas include:

  1. Strong collaboration between client teams and GreenFlex: there is no such thing as a "one size fits all" energy strategy, but an optimal configuration with a view to actions already started, the organisation in place, specific business features and the business culture.
  2. A large-scale integration of all energy issues upstream: deal with subjects as a whole, instead of compartmentalised in silos, is a way of creating value; building an energy efficiency plan including its financing, structuring energy purchasing while anticipating changes in usage, deployment of energy counting solutions while including the issue of deletion, etc.
  3. A theoretical / real-world hybrid approach: a general policy and set of guidelines needs to be established that, from the outset, is based around testimony and technical site visits.
